CLOCK IS TICKING FOR THE 28TH ANNUAL GSTRC

San Antonio, TX---The clock is ticking and time is drawing near for the 28th Annual George Strait Team Roping Classic that will be held in San Antonio Texas at the San Antonio Rose Palace on March 12th & 13th.
Registration for this year’s event has been expanded to three days and new phone numbers will be used. Registration will take place on Monday, March 1st, Tuesday, March 2nd and Wednesday, March 3rd from 5-10PM Central time. Ropers wanting to register can call 505-270-9340 and 505-270-8332 during those times.
The entry fee is $1000 per team and ropers may enter up to three times with different partners. Ropers may start paying their entry fees between 5 and 10PM on Thursday, March 11th and all entry fees must be paid by 8:30 AM on Friday, March 12th. All horses must be in a San Antonio Rose Palace stall as no portable stalls are allowed.

Food Stores, Brake Check, Tractor Supply Co., Wrangler, Justin, Cactus Ropes, Resistol, Capital Farm Credit, Classic Ropes, Frost Bank and Gist Buckles.
Chad Masters and Jade Corkill won the 27th Annual GSTRC and drove away in their Cavender Chevrolet duallies pulling their Bruton 3-horse Strait Extreme trailers loaded with a total of $277,686 in cash between them along with their Twister saddles and Gist buckles.
Entries in 2009 included 485 and 2010 could even see more. Long lines of rigs and horse trailers will be arriving beginning Thursday afternoon for the event. The event was started by George and his brother Buddy as a small family roping in Kingsville, TX and has become the most prestigious open roping in America.
